The object of research that I use is PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (Persero) is often called Telkom or just Telkom Indonesia, which is an enterprise as well as information and communication service providers and telecommunication network is complete in Indonesia. Telkom claims to be the largest telecommunications company in Indonesia, the number of fixed telephone subscribers and 15 million mobile phone subscribers as much as 104 million. It is owned by the Government of Indonesia 53.90%, and 46.10% owned by the public, the Bank of New York, and domestic investors in the last year 2013. Telkom also became the majority shareholder in 13 subsidiaries, including PT Mobile Telecommunication (Telkomsel). Telkom provides InfoComm services, fixed wireline and fixed wireless , mobile telephone, and internet, as well as the networks and interconnections, either directly or through subsidiaries.
Was originally known as a private business entity postal and telegraph service providers or by the name "JAWATAN". In 1961 the department was changed to the status of the State Enterprise of Posts and Telecommunications (Postel PN), PN Postel broken into State Enterprise of Post and Giro (PN Post and Giro), and the State Telecommunications (PN Telecommunications). In 1974 PN Telecommunications adjusted to the Public Telecommunications Company (PERUMTEL) which organizes national and international telecommunications services. On November 14, 1995 inaugurated PT Telkom Indonesia as the largest telecommunications company name in Indonesia.
In improving its business and provide protection in accordance with the wishes of the people, PT TELKOM has opened branch offices and representatives located in various regional consisting of: 7 DIVRE namely Divre1 Sumatra, Jakarta Division 2, Division 3 West Java, Central Java Regional Division 4 & DI.Yogyakarta, Division 5 East Java, Kalimantan 6 Division, Division 7 Eastern Indonesia. PT TELKOM also has subsidiaries such as, Telkomsel, Telkomvision / Indonusa, Infomedia, Graha Sarana Duta (GSD), Patrakom, Bangtelindo, PT Finnet Indonesia.
In the management of the organization, PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk. has a Board of Commissioners consisting of one (1) chairman and four (4) members and a Board of Directors consisting of 1 (one) President Director or CEO and four (4) members of the Board of Directors that has the functions and responsibilities as different as the Director of Resources and Business Support / CIO, Telecommunication Network Business Director, Director of Business and Telecommunication Services, and Director of Finance / CFO.
As a holding company, PT Telkom Indonesia, Tbk. have some fruit affiliated subsidiaries such as PT Indonesian Cellular Telecommunication moving as cellular mobile telecommunications service provider, PT Indonusa Telemedia which handles multimedia broadcasting and the Internet with the product name Telkom and PT Infomedia Nusantara Vision that manages the publishing business Telephone Directory (Yellow Pages) and Call Center.
